RN Job Summary

Role

• Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
• Functions as both caregiver and care manager
• May be required to serve as Charge Nurse

Location

• Moses Lake, Washington

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12p–12a

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Washington
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year

Preferred Experience

• Acute care RN experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments

Unit-Specific Requirements

• ICU: ACLS within 6 months of hire
• ICU: PALS within 12 months of hire
• ICU: TNCC within 12 months of hire
• ICU: PEARS within 12 months of hire
• ICU: Moderate sedation training within 12 months of hire
• ICU: RN-C preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect data on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status
• Implement care according to policies, procedures, and care plans
• Provide patient teaching
• Document care in electronic medical records and/or paper processes
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities
• Maintain safety, infection control, and professional standards
• Coordinate staffing and patient flow when functioning as Charge Nurse

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
• Ability to assist with lifting and pushing/pulling 60 to 300 lbs with assistance
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment for 8 to 12 hours at a time
