RN MCU
Overview
- Location: West Burlington, Iowa
- Employment type: Long-term assignment
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Hours: 24 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides nursing care in a Medical Care Unit that serves less acute patients, including those awaiting placement to long-term care.
- The unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab, and the nurse may float between both units.
- Patient populations include geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, telemetry, and psychiatric patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience with 2 years of experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CPI/MOAB
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
- Two professional references, including one supervisor reference
Preferred Qualifications
- Telemetry experience
Additional Notes
- May occasionally be placed on call during low census periods.
- If called in, must be able to arrive on-site within one hour.
