Registered Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida
- Employment type: Travel
- Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
Clinical Setting
- Acute-care hospital
- Rotates throughout all inpatient units
- Works across all floors and two 10-bed ICUs
Key Responsibilities
- Aerosol treatments
- BiPAP management
- Ventilator management
- Participates in daily nursing unit department rounding
- Supports care for ICU, ER, critical adult care, level 2 NICU, and pediatric patients within scope
Equipment / Technology
- Various ventilators and BiPAPs
- Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
- Vapotherm
- Philips V60+
- Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers
Scheduling / Work Conditions
- Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating weekends
- Uses AIDET for patient experience
- Required uniform: scrubs
