Description
Physical Therapist Job Overview
Location: Lufkin, Texas
Shift: Days
Hours per week: 40
Contract length: 10 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy license
- BLS certification
Clinical Setting
- Primarily acute care
- May also cover inpatient rehab
- May occasionally cover mid-level critical care, med-surgical, and ortho floors
Schedule
- Main schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Weekend coverage may be included depending on assignment location and scheduling needs
- Hours may be scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM
- 4x10 or 5x8 scheduling may be possible
Assignment Expectations
- Expected to work efficiently with minimal onboarding
- Should be willing to treat in an inpatient rehab unit inside the hospital
- Typical productivity expectation is 4 patients in 8 hours
- Documentation is expected to be completed within 8 hours
- Unit productivity expectation is 22 units per 8-hour day
Team Environment
- Will work as part of a 6-person PT team
- SLP and OT are also staffed on site
