Ultrasound Technologist

Location

Billings, Montana

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

Variable shifts, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of experience
  • BLS certification
  • ARDMS registration
  • High school diploma or GED

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction
  • Verify patient identity and orders before exams
  • Prepare patients, provide education, and address concerns
  • Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Follow department protocols, infection control, and sterile techniques
  • Maintain documentation and accurate patient records
  • Operate equipment and related information systems
  • Assist students and other radiology technologists with protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment
  • Perform vascular procedures
  • Respond to emergency situations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to see and read information and labels
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understand spoken information quickly
  • Manual dexterity for complex equipment
  • Ability to use computers and type for documentation
  • Ability to lift, bend, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to walk and assist with patient transport or ambulation
  • Ability to push and pull equipment
  • Ability to work in crowded and busy environments
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
