Description
Radiation Therapist
Location
- Reno, Nevada
Contract
- Travel assignment
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Day shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- May start at 6:45 AM for warm-up duty
- May include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Call details to be discussed during interview
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Nevada
- 3 years of Radiation Therapist experience
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- 3 years of recent TruBeam experience
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed therapeutic radiation
- Perform localization procedures for treatment preparation
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Assist with onboarding new team members and educating students
- Operate linear accelerators and simulators
- Perform basic dosimetry, custom block fabrication, and charting
- Provide nursing and secretarial support as needed
Work Expectations
- May float to other needs within competency level
- May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Must complete annual core competencies and department-specific workflow requirements
