RN - PACU
Overview
- Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
- Seasonal assignment
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Schedule
- 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- Critical Care experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
Preferred Qualifications
- Stroke care experience
Unit Details
- PACU with floating between PACU areas
- Pre-op and PACU combined capacity of 59 bays
- Staffed by RNs and patient care techs
- Typical patient ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients; same-day surgery patients may be up to 3
- Uses GE monitors
Common Patient Population / Procedures
- Patients recovering from anesthesia
- High neuro volume, including stroke patients
- Interventional radiology
- TAVR
- Critical care overflow
- Spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases
Work Environment
- Flexible and outgoing personality preferred
