    RN - PACU

    Overview

    • Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
    • Seasonal assignment
    • 36 hours per week
    • 13-week contract

    Schedule

    • 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in Colorado
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
    • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
    • Critical Care experience
    • ACLS
    • BLS
    • PALS
    • NIHSS

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Stroke care experience

    Unit Details

    • PACU with floating between PACU areas
    • Pre-op and PACU combined capacity of 59 bays
    • Staffed by RNs and patient care techs
    • Typical patient ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients; same-day surgery patients may be up to 3
    • Uses GE monitors

    Common Patient Population / Procedures

    • Patients recovering from anesthesia
    • High neuro volume, including stroke patients
    • Interventional radiology
    • TAVR
    • Critical care overflow
    • Spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases

    Work Environment

    • Flexible and outgoing personality preferred
