Respiratory Therapist

Location

Yuma, Arizona

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Nights
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Start date is not flexible
  • Every other weekend
  • Works 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Arizona RRT license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist verification
  • Does not accept CRT
  • 2 years of experience is acceptable
  • First-time travelers are accepted

Clinical Setting

  • Inpatient care
  • Freestanding emergency department float coverage
  • May also cover adults, pediatrics, and neonates if NICU-trained

Key Responsibilities

  • Draw and analyze ABGs
  • Provide respiratory treatments
  • Manage ventilator settings
  • Assist with intubation

Additional Details

  • May float to a freestanding emergency department about 15 minutes away
  • May be placed on low census
  • Black scrubs required
  • Unit orientation includes one NEO day, one ED day, one ICU day, and one floor day
  • Additional NICU orientation day if NICU experience is present
