Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Owings Mills, Maryland
• Day shift, 5x8 hours
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 14 weeks
• Locals accepted
• Block scheduling not accommodated

Setting and patient population

• Home health role
• Primarily geriatric patient population
• Coverage area includes Baltimore County, with support for Baltimore City as needed

Responsibilities

• Average of 6 visits per day
• Productivity expectation of 30 points per week
• Documentation should be submitted within 24–48 hours of the visit
• Home health admission assessments, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and transfers
• Wound care, pressure ulcer management, and wound VACs
• IV therapy, home infusion, central line/port care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Feeding tube, G-tube, ostomy, and urinary catheter management
• Medication administration, pain management, and blood glucose management

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Home Health experience within the last year
• 2 years of Home Health experience
• One completed travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or United States Department of Defense
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting
• Driver's License
• Wound VAC experience
• IV therapy and home infusion experience
• Central line and port care experience
• Phlebotomy experience
• Starting and maintaining IVs experience
• Feeding tube and G-tube management experience
• Ostomy management experience
• Urinary catheter management experience
• Experience with OASIS

Scheduling and assignment expectations

• Weekends may be required
• On-call coverage may be requested based on need
• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract
