PCU Float
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Augusta, Georgia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 12 weeks
- Patient population: Adults to geriatrics
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Med Surg experience
- Telemetry experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
Unit / Role Details
- PCU float role
- Float required to medical-surgical, medical-surgical telemetry, and PCU units within the hospital
- Typical ratios: 1:4–5 in PCU; 1:5–6 in MS/MS Tele
- No call required
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend
- May be assigned major holidays during the contract period
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs required
