PCU Float

Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Med Surg experience
  • Telemetry experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic

Unit / Role Details

  • PCU float role
  • Float required to medical-surgical, medical-surgical telemetry, and PCU units within the hospital
  • Typical ratios: 1:4–5 in PCU; 1:5–6 in MS/MS Tele
  • No call required

Schedule Expectations

  • Every other weekend
  • May be assigned major holidays during the contract period
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Locals are accepted
  • Navy blue scrubs required
