Description
Registered Nurse — Med Surg / Telemetry
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Schedule: 3rd shift, 3x12s, 7p–7a
Contract length: 13 weeks
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred qualifications
- BSN
- Previous nursing experience
Role overview
- Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient/family education, and care coordination
- Performs comprehensive assessments, documents findings, and responds to changes in patient condition
- Delegates and oversees patient care tasks as appropriate
- Supports discharge planning and patient education
- Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts

- Collaboration with care team members
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
