Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Akron, Ohio
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other holiday
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- 1.5 years of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
Orientation / Onboarding Requirements
- ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation; passing scores are required
- Background check required before start
- Fingerprinting required within 48 hours of signed contract
- Education verification required
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III required
- Skills checklist required annually
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the assignment
- 2 references required from employment within 1 year of start
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance within 12 months of start
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years
- TB screening within 12 months of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
- Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Flu documentation required seasonally
