Angiographer
Location
Murray, Utah
Schedule
- Day shift
- 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- On call required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Utah
- Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (VI) or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification
- BLS
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS or PALS certification
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams and verify orders and patient identification
- Perform imaging procedures and produce quality images
- Complete required documentation and image storage
- Maintain supplies and work area
- Transport patients as needed
- Assist with invasive, diagnostic, and interventional procedures
- Apply closure devices, suture sheaths, or apply pressure for hemostasis as needed
- Follow x-ray safety principles and operate imaging equipment
- Provide patient education and comfort
- Work as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech according to lab policies and scope of practice
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Frequent communication with patients, visitors, and care providers
- Frequent computer use and typing
- Manual dexterity required for complex equipment
- Ability to lift, transfer, bend, walk, push, and pull equipment and patients
- Ability to work in crowded, busy rooms
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Additional Requirements
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required
