Radiation Therapist

Job Details

  • Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Schedule: Days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
  • Shift: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Start: ASAP

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in New Mexico
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card issued by the American Heart Association
  • 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
  • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
  • TrueBeam machine experience
  • Aria/Varian experience
  • SPRT experience
  • SRS experience
  • IGRT experience
  • IMRT experience

Experience

  • 2 years of specialty experience required
  • 2 to 5 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Experience with SPRT, SRS, IGRT, and IMRT
  • IMRT experience preferred
  • LDR/HDR experience preferred

Role Summary

  • Provides radiation therapy and radiographic procedures using X-rays and radioactive substances
  • Operates specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician
  • Maintains treatment records and prepares operational reports
  • Manages supplies and equipment
