Job Overview

• Location: Fairfield, California
• Employment type: Clinical Allied Travel
• Shift: Nights
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Variable; department is on AWS with overtime after 12 hours per day and after 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Surgical Technologist (6 months of experience)
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• OB Technician experience

Preferred Experience

• Prior unit clerk/secretarial experience with medical terminology
• Prior experience with the delivery process and newborns

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub for obstetrical surgeries and assist physicians during procedures
• Prepare operating and delivery rooms and maintain sterile technique
• Assist with surgical counts, equipment readiness, and infection control
• Support deliveries, newborn care, specimen preparation, and patient transport/discharge
• Perform unit clerk duties when needed, including registration, logbook updates, and order entry
• Assist with maternal vital signs, newborn measurements, bathing, hearing screens, and circumcision support
