    Description

    LDRP RN

    Job Overview

    • Location: Frisco, Colorado
    • Shift: Nights
    • Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
    • Contract length: 13 weeks

    Required Qualifications

    • RN license
    • BLS (AHA)
    • ACLS (AHA)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • STABLE Certification
    • L&D experience

    Unit Details

    • Small mountain hospital setting
    • L&D/PP/MB unit with 8-bed LDRP capacity
    • 1 OR suite for C-sections
    • About 35 deliveries per month
    • Low-risk patients over 36 weeks
    • RNs read their own strips
    • RNs are required to titrate drips
    • Common drips include oxytocin and occasional magnesium sulfate
    • Charge nurse takes an assignment
    • 1 OB tech each shift
    • OB/neonatologist not in house 24/7
    • Anesthesia is in house only if running epidural
    • CPAP is common; ventilator use is uncommon and limited to babies awaiting transfer if needed
    • EFM system: OBIX

    Schedule and Assignment Expectations

    • Self-scheduling is allowed
    • Weekend requirement: 3 full weekends in a 6-week period
    • Holiday requirement: 1 full summer holiday and 1 full winter holiday
    • Call requirement: 3 call shifts per 6 weeks
    • Floating may be required, but rarely
    • Unit orientation: 2 shifts
    • Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation
