Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- Unit is high-acuity, with a large volume of admitted patients and ED holding
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Trauma experience
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel experience is strongly preferred
- Level I trauma experience is preferred
- Candidates with 2+ years of Level I experience may be considered if they do not have travel experience
Clinical Expectations
- Care will include admitted patients and ED holding patients
- Medication administration, including IV medications, is part of the role
- Floating may include Peds ED, Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma as needed
Additional Notes
- Cerner familiarity may be tested during orientation
- COVID vaccination is optional
- Flu documentation is required before start
- RTO over 7 days requires approval
