    Description

    NICU Registered Nurse

    Overview

    • Travel/contract NICU RN role in Edmonds, Washington
    • Night shift, 3x12 hours
    • 36 hours per week
    • 13-week contract

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in Washington
    • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
    • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
    • BLS issued by American Heart Association
    • NRP
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • Pediatrics experience
    • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience

    Work Expectations

    • Must float to Pediatrics and PICU
    • Will be assigned newborns and infants only
    • Must float to all 7 campuses listed in the source

    Preferred

    • EPIC charting experience

    Scheduling

    • Must schedule 5 days per week, with either Wednesday–Sunday or Thursday–Monday availability
    • Guaranteed 2 shifts

    Orientation and Pre-Start Requirements

    • Virtual orientation modules take about 21 hours
    • 2 unit orientation shifts are scheduled after virtual orientation, based on availability
    • Must complete an orientation checklist before working
    • Must complete WorkRamp modules before start
    • Must complete a Pyxis access form before unit orientation
    • Must complete a point-of-care training session before working

    Health and Compliance

    • COVID vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions only
    • Fit mask clearance is required for travel starts
    • Drug screening is required
    • Physical exam is required within 1 year of start
    • TB documentation is required
    • Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation are required
    • Flu vaccination or declination is required during flu season
    • Respirator safety clearance is required for travel starts

    Additional Notes

    • Returning employees may apply after a 6-month separation from Providence/Swedish facilities
    • Travelers may not work at a Providence facility and accept another travel job at the same time
    • Agency badge and badge photo are required
