Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Akron, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- CVOR (1.5 years of experience)
- CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NBSTSA
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- CVOR experience is preferred
Role Details
- Scrub open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular cases
Schedule / Call
- On-call requirements include weekday call shifts, weekend call rotation, and possible holiday call rotation
- One working weekend shift every 6 weeks is typically coordinated with weekend call
Compliance / Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check required before start and updated annually
- Fingerprinting required within 48 hours of signed contract and before start
- Education verification required
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Tdap vaccination required every 10 years
- TB screening required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
- Standard 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Flu documentation required seasonally
- Eye exam required within 1 year of start
- 2 references required from recent employment in healthcare leadership roles
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of acute care clinical practice in a similar area
