Required qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS
- PALS
- NBRC
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of ICU experience
- Previous experience with ventilators
Key responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies
- Assist with intubation and manage ventilator setup and operation
- Evaluate patient needs and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers
- Document care and education provided
