Operating Room RN
Job Overview
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 48
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
- Weekend requirement: 2–3 per month
- On-call required: 24–36 hours per month on day shift
- No floating within scope
- No block scheduling
- No locals within 100 miles

- Purple scrubs provided

Compliance and Pre-Start Items
- Greater than 7 days of requested time off requires approval
- Physical exam required within 1 year before start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year before start
- Drug screen required within 30 days before start
- Flu vaccination or documentation required before start and annually
- COVID vaccination is optional; declination may be submitted
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire are required
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history is required
- Skills checklist is required
- Work history verification is required
- Background check, fingerprinting, education verification, and several facility-specific onboarding documents are required before start
