Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location
- South Charleston, West Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Rotating weekends
- Rotating call
- 8-hour day shifts
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- West Virginia state licensure
- Experience required
- Ability to start IVs
- Ability to perform EKGs
- Unexpired driver’s license copy must be submitted with the application
Assignment Details
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
- No floating to other areas
- Department-specific orientation provided
- Scrubs are not provided
- Black scrubs required
- No embroidery or T-shirts
- Scrub jacket required if warmth is needed
- Crocs with holes or backs out are not allowed
Work Setting
- Nuclear medicine department
- Studies include cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilts
- Average volume is 12–15 scans/studies per day
- In-house radiologist
- 4 scanners/rooms
Additional Notes
- No self-scheduling
- Holiday coverage is not required at this time
