Surgical Technologist
Job Overview
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotating call
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 40 per week
Role Summary
- Provides surgical technology support for direct and indirect patient care
- Assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures
- Scrubs on procedures ranging from simple to complex across multiple specialties
- Prepares for surgeon-specific procedures and helps anticipate intraoperative events
- Serves as a resource to other technologists, trains new technologists and students, and may function in an informal lead role
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate of completion of a Surgical Technology program
