Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II
Location
Grand Blanc, Michigan
Schedule
- Full-time, weekdays 6:30a–5p
- One variable weekday off per week
- On-call required: 1 weekend per month and 4 weeknights per month
- No weekend commitment outside of on-call
Contract Length
13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- 1-2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab
- Ability to scrub for all types of heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, and graduation from an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences such as Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography
- ARRT (CI)
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system
- Strong scrub tech experience across cath/EP procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to lethal arrhythmias using ACLS standards
- Perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations, and ACT measurements
- Calculate basic hemodynamic parameters and record catheterization events
- Set up supplies and prepare the table for diagnostic cardiac catheterization
- Support orientation and training of Cath Lab staff
- Assist with special projects and committee participation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to scrub in a sterile environment for extended periods
- Ability to wear lead aprons up to 5 lbs for extended periods
- Ability to lift patients with team assistance
- Ability to push a bed or stretcher with an immobilized patient with team assistance
