ICU Registered Nurse

Location

Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day/night rotation
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Holidays are worked per schedule

Unit Details

ICU with 5 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
Charge nurse: none
Nurse aides: as needed
Tele/monitor techs: yes
Floating: Med Surg
Floor orientation: 1–2 shifts

Required Qualifications

RN license
BLS
ACLS
PALS
TNCC

Clinical Support / Resources

Hospitalist in house
Respiratory therapy available 24/7, with on-call coverage after 6 pm
Pharmacy in house until 10 pm, then remote coverage

Common Patient Population / Clinical Experience

Stroke patients
STEMI and non-STEMI patients
TPN administration
ICU drips include Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and vasopressors
Ventilator support includes Hamilton C-1
