RN - Endo
Location
Golden, Colorado
Schedule
- Day shift
- 36 hours per week
- 4 x 9-hour shifts
- Weekday and weekend call required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- 1 year of endoscopy experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with the technical operation of GI equipment
Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and safety for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
- Assess patient needs, develop and update plans of care, and document changes in status
- Support aseptic practice and correct breaks in technique
- Educate and reassure patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement and inventory management
- May float to other departments within the perioperative area and occasionally to other nursing units
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Work Expectations
- Regular on-site attendance during scheduled shifts is required
