• 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• 2 or more years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Education

• Nursing Diploma, or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Job Summary

• Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process
• Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and prioritizes care for complex situations
• Develops and updates plans of care with patients and families
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Provides patient education and evaluates readiness to learn
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Supports discharge planning and identifies discharge needs
• Participates in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
