Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse
Location
- Stockbridge, Georgia

Shift
- Day shift, 3x12 hours
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Contract Length
- 20 weeks
Unit Overview
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- 32-bed unit
- Floating required within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Call is rare, with a 2-hour response time
- Typically every other weekend
- Major holidays may be required based on assignment dates
Clinical Focus
- Cardiac telemetry/step-down care
- Arrhythmia management
- Cardioversion
- Cardiac CHF
- Chest pain
- Renal and pulmonary conditions
- PE and DVT
- Stable A-fib, SVT, and bradycardia
- Surgical overflow and occasional vascular, post-cardiac cath, TR band, DKA, ortho, and CVA overflow patients
- Experience managing continuous IV medications is required, including cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin) and continuous IV medications
- Arrhythmia management experience
- Cardioversion experience
- Telemetry experience
Additional Notes
- Full compliance is required before start
- Local candidates are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs are required
