• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Contract Length

• 20 weeks

Unit Overview

• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 32-bed unit
• Floating required within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call is rare, with a 2-hour response time
• Typically every other weekend
• Major holidays may be required based on assignment dates

Clinical Focus

• Cardiac telemetry/step-down care
• Arrhythmia management
• Cardioversion
• Cardiac CHF
• Chest pain
• Renal and pulmonary conditions
• PE and DVT
• Stable A-fib, SVT, and bradycardia
• Surgical overflow and occasional vascular, post-cardiac cath, TR band, DKA, ortho, and CVA overflow patients
• Experience managing continuous IV medications is required, including cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of experience managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin) and continuous IV medications
• Arrhythmia management experience
• Cardioversion experience
• Telemetry experience
