Registered Nurse (RN) — Med Surg/Telemetry

Location

• Springfield, Vermont

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit / Setting

• Adaptive acuity unit
• May occasionally be asked to provide PCU care with a 3:1 ratio
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
• 25 beds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Experience in Charge roles
• 3 months or more of total travel experience
• Experience with insulin drips, esmolol drips, and sodium drips
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association

• Skills checklist for Progressive Care Unit/PCU, current within 1 year
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical/MS, current within 1 year
• Skills checklist for Telemetry/Tele, current within 1 year
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment

Scheduling Notes

• Requested time off must be included at submission
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed:

  • Thanksgiving Day, Friday after, and the weekend after
  • Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day and the weekend after
• Scheduling accommodations such as block scheduling are not accepted
• 48-hour guarantee is not available
