Labor and Delivery RN

Job Details

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Shift: Day, 4x12 hours
• Hours per week: 48

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in high-acuity and high-pace environments
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke
• NRP
• EFM
• Experience working with High Risk patients
• Ability to circulate in the operating room
• Newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Post Partum experience
• Antepartum experience

Experience and Clinical Background

• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience circulating in Labor & Delivery
• Ability to provide newborn care, including eyes, thighs, vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Experience with high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring
• Experience working with heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate

Schedule and Work Expectations

• First-time travelers accepted
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Pre-approved time off is reviewed case by case
• Floating required to postpartum, antepartum, and sister facilities that provide mother/baby care

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced
• AWHONN Intermediate

Additional Notes

• EPIC experience is required
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
