Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location

  • Dothan, Alabama

Job Type

  • Travel/Contract

Schedule

  • Day shift, 5x8 hours
  • Monday–Friday
  • Start times: 7:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m.
  • Call coverage is required, including approximately one week every four weeks plus 2–4 additional days per month
  • Must be able to report within 30 minutes of notification

Key Responsibilities

  • Support vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular procedures
  • Assist with adult diagnostic angiography, minimally invasive guidewire and catheter-based procedures, and percutaneous biopsies
  • Function as a scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy technologist in single- and biplane environments
  • Provide technical assistance with sheath insertion, groin sealant, and stabilization
  • Operate equipment in interventional radiology, OR, and neuro-interventional suites
  • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients
  • Follow radiation safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and the procedural team

Required Qualifications

  • Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association or United States Department of Defense
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association or United States Department of Defense
  • ARRT (VI)
  • Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility
  • Contracts will end on a Tuesday due to the facility’s pay period
