    Radiation Therapist

    Location

    • San Luis Obispo, California

    Schedule

    • Day shift, 5x8 hours
    • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • 40 hours per week

    Contract Length

    • 13 weeks

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Radiation Therapist license in California
    • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
    • 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
    • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • ARRT
    • CRT

    Equipment

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments according to the physician’s treatment plan
    • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including documenting readings and requesting adjustments or repairs as needed
    • Assist physicians with radiation therapy and simulation procedures
    • Educate patients about procedures in a clear, professional manner
    • Complete patient documentation, appointment updates, and electronic health record entries
    • Maintain radiation safety standards and a clean, safe work environment
    • Inspect, calibrate, and record quality control results for equipment

    • TB screening required within 90 days of start
    • Physical exam required within 1 year of start
    • Fit test required within 1 year of start
    • Drug screen required within 6 months of start
    • Flu vaccination or approved declination required during flu season
    • Color vision screening required if applicable to the role
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required
    • Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps
