Schedule Requirements

Every other weekend
May be asked to rotate between shifts
May be asked to participate in holiday rotation

Assignment Details

Long-term care / skilled nursing facility setting
28 beds with typical census of 23–28
Private rooms
No locked memory unit
Mechanical total lift system available
On-site pharmacy on the hospital side
Interdisciplinary team includes PT and OT

Responsibilities

Initial assessments
Medication administration
Charge nurse oversight of CNAs
Skin and pain assessments
Admissions
Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention/treatment
Assisting other staff as needed
Family communication and involvement

Orientation

Half-day general orientation
1–2 days with educator
1–3 days with a preceptor on the designated shift

Additional Notes

Meditech is used, with a planned system change in June 2024
No call or standby requirement
No floating requirement
