Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- 2 years of specialty experience
- COVID vaccination
Experience
- Accepts first-time travelers
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- May be asked to rotate between shifts
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
Assignment Details
- Long-term care / skilled nursing facility setting
- 28 beds with typical census of 23–28
- Private rooms
- No locked memory unit
- Mechanical total lift system available
- On-site pharmacy on the hospital side
- Interdisciplinary team includes PT and OT
Responsibilities
- Initial assessments
- Medication administration
- Charge nurse oversight of CNAs
- Skin and pain assessments
- Admissions
- Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention/treatment
- Assisting other staff as needed
- Family communication and involvement
Orientation
- Half-day general orientation
- 1–2 days with educator
- 1–3 days with a preceptor on the designated shift
Additional Notes
- Meditech is used, with a planned system change in June 2024
- No call or standby requirement
- No floating requirement
