Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia
• Respiratory Therapist (3 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience

Clinical Setting / Scope

• Adults, peds, and neonates
• Inpatient: MS, PCU, ICU
• ER
• Rehab
• PACU
• SNF
• Endo
• Cath Lab
• SDS
• Outpatient ABGs and 6 minute walks

Duties

• Floor duties
• Breathing treatments
• ABGs
• Capillary sticks for I-Stats
• Managing respiratory equipment
• Assist with intubations only
• No EKGs

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts: 6:30 PM–6:30 AM
• Mid shift option: 2:15 PM–10:45 PM
• 4-week rotation schedule
• No self-scheduling
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation may be required

Supervision / Coverage

• Supervisor/Director daily Monday–Friday
• Charge RTs on other shifts
• Not the only RT in-house

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted
• No call or standby call
• Teal scrubs; acceptable scrub pattern shirt allowed
• 1–3 shifts of unit/department orientation with a preceptor, as needed
