Occupational Therapist - Home Health

Location

• Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Schedule

• Day shift
• 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Two years of occupational therapy experience
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• Minimum six months of home care experience
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Mississippi
• Valid driver's license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Experience in supervisory roles

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient function and help develop and revise the plan of care
• Prepare clinical and progress notes
• Consult with patients, families, and the care team to develop measurable short- and long-term goals
• Supervise the COTA according to regulations
• Perform therapy procedures in the home according to the plan of care
• Complete 30-day patient reassessments
• Participate in in-service education and CEUs as applicable
• Document patient care during visits and submit documentation timely
• Notify the physician of changes and instruct patients and families in meeting needs
