Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Kodiak, Alaska
- Start date: ASAP
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift, 5x8 hours
- Guaranteed hours: 72 per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
Schedule / Assignment Details
- On-call required
- Weekend coverage required for on-call
- Floating within scope is not required
- Block scheduling may be accommodated
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO requests are reviewed case by case
Facility / Work Setting
- Acute care medical center, long-term care, and outpatient setting
- Level IV trauma
- Critical access hospital
- 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds
- Epic charting
- Scrubs: any color or business casual
Housing
- Housing is provided during the assignment
- Typically a 1-bedroom apartment
- Move-in is available no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and no later than 24 hours after it ends
- Pets are not allowed
- Additional family members are uncommon and require approval
- Housing must be cleaned at departure or additional cleaning fees may apply
