Location

• Normal, Illinois

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Role Summary

• Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography procedures.
• Supports patient care and workflow in the echocardiography lab.
• Assists physicians and sonographers with echocardiographic exams.
• Performs multiple forms of echo testing, including exercise stress, dobutamine stress, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes.
• Participates in call rotation during the week and on weekends.
• Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in sonography
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Follows departmental guidelines for routine and complex imaging procedures.
• Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
• Documents studies and charges accurately.
• Administers contrast when needed and not contraindicated.
• Completes preliminary information in Xcelera for physician reading.
