Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in a Hospital setting

Preferred Experience

• Pulmonary diagnostics
• Cardiac diagnostics, including EKG, Holter monitor, event monitor, and cardiac stress testing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care as ordered by a physician
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and ventilator patients
• Administer medications and perform patient assessments
• Verify respiratory care physician orders
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient reports
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and use of artificial airways
• Assist with intubation
• Perform arterial blood gas draws
• Interpret flow volumes and pressure-volume curves to support clinical changes
• Train and orient new employees and students
• Complete required training, education, and in-services
