NICU Nurse
Job Overview

Role Summary
- Implements and monitors patient care plans
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition
- Serves as a primary coordinator of disciplines for coordinated patient care
- Carries out physician and nursing orders
- Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP Advanced
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
Onboarding / Compliance Requirements
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Pharmacology exam with minimum 80% score, completed before start and updated every 3 years
- Specialty exam with minimum 80% score or national benchmark passing score, completed before first assignment and updated every 3 years
- Color vision screening completed before start and updated every 3 years
- Core competencies completed within 1 year of start and updated every 3 years
- Safe sleep training
- EKG exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
- Education attestation from pre-hire onboarding
- Nursing contingent worker onboarding completed onsite
- Badge photo required
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation
- MMR immunity or vaccination documentation
- Fit test
- Hepatitis B documentation
- Influenza vaccine documentation or declination with masking requirement
