NICU Nurse

Job Overview

Role Summary

  • Implements and monitors patient care plans
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of disciplines for coordinated patient care
  • Carries out physician and nursing orders
  • Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP Advanced
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance Requirements

  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Pharmacology exam with minimum 80% score, completed before start and updated every 3 years
  • Specialty exam with minimum 80% score or national benchmark passing score, completed before first assignment and updated every 3 years
  • Color vision screening completed before start and updated every 3 years
  • Core competencies completed within 1 year of start and updated every 3 years
  • Safe sleep training
  • EKG exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
  • Education attestation from pre-hire onboarding
  • Nursing contingent worker onboarding completed onsite
  • Badge photo required
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation
  • MMR immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Fit test
  • Hepatitis B documentation
