Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CST or NBSTSA
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare the sterile field for surgical operations
- Set up sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons with gowning, gloving, and draping patients
- Pass instruments and supplies during surgery
- Hold retractors and anticipate surgeon needs
- Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup
- May perform specific procedures and help orient other staff
Schedule Expectations
- On-call rotation: at least 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
