    Description

    MRI Technologist II

    Location

    Palo Alto, California

    Contract

    • 13 weeks
    • 0.9 FTE
    • 3 x 12-hour shifts
    • Rotating schedule
    • Shift window: 0500-2200
    • Mostly weekend coverage
    • No overnight, on-call, or holidays

    Required Qualifications

    • 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
    • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
    • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
    • Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology or magnetic resonance imaging

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform MRI procedures and imaging sequences for diagnosis
    • Prepare patients for MRI exams, including screening, positioning, and safe transfer
    • Evaluate scan quality and troubleshoot equipment issues
    • Maintain required paperwork and bill procedures performed
    • Support training of radiology students, house staff, or others in MRI procedures, protocols, equipment, and safety

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
    • Ability to troubleshoot and document equipment problems
    • Knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, techniques, equipment, and image processing
    • Familiarity with computer systems and software used in the role
