Description
MRI Technologist II
Location
Palo Alto, California
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 0.9 FTE
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Rotating schedule
- Shift window: 0500-2200
- Mostly weekend coverage
- No overnight, on-call, or holidays
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology or magnetic resonance imaging
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures and imaging sequences for diagnosis
- Prepare patients for MRI exams, including screening, positioning, and safe transfer
- Evaluate scan quality and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Maintain required paperwork and bill procedures performed
- Support training of radiology students, house staff, or others in MRI procedures, protocols, equipment, and safety
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to troubleshoot and document equipment problems
- Knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, techniques, equipment, and image processing
- Familiarity with computer systems and software used in the role
