Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Columbia, South Carolina
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • Patient ratio: 2:1

Clinical Setting

  • Cardiac/medical intensive care with some step-down overflow
  • Common patient needs include advanced cardiac devices and monitoring such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, TVP, vents, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • CCU - Coronary Care (1 year of experience)
  • CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience with Epic
  • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
  • Ability to manage dysrhythmias
  • Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients not directly from the OR
  • Experience with pre/post cardiac cath or intervention
  • Sheath removal experience
