Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
- Night shift, 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Locals accepted
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry experience

Schedule and unit details
- Ratios vary by acuity; typical ratios are 1:4 for surgical stepdown and 1:5-6 for lower acuity
- Weekend requirement: 4 per 4 weeks
- Float requirement: follows unit rotation, not first to float
- Unit orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: navy
Preferred experience
- Arterial line management
- Wound care / wound vac
- Charge experience
Clinical setting
- Cardiac telemetry / stepdown unit with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular post-op patients
- Common procedures include CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Watchman, VATS, carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass, amputations, post-cath, post-DCCV, post-EP procedures, and pacemaker placements
Important notes
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Candidate may be canceled for additional RTO or call-offs
- Candidate must be available for interview within the next 72 hours
- Candidate will be expected to work during storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster events
