RRT
Overview
- Location: Grants Pass, Oregon
- Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Works throughout the hospital for Respiratory Therapy
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); no CRT
- BLS certification
- NRP
- Active Oregon license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Delivery experience required
Job Details
- Provides respiratory care for patients on medical floors, adult critical care, and the emergency room
- Duties include breathing treatments, secretion mobilization, non-invasive and invasive ventilation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intubation assistance, drawing and analyzing blood gases, and obtaining EKGs
- Typical workload: 12-14 treatments per 4-hour round or 4-5 ventilators
- Orientation includes one precepted shift
- Uses EPIC EMR
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Non-billable orientation: 12 hours in the first work week
- Call off or cancellation may occur up to 24 hours per 13 weeks
- Scrubs required; no facial piercings other than ears; tattoos must be covered
