Job Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

- Weekend requirement: Saturday or Sunday every weekend

- Guaranteed hours: Up to 36 hours; 12-hour OR nurses are guaranteed 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Robotic surgery experience
- Trauma experience
Required Certifications and Competencies
- AVADE certification within 12 months of start, renewed annually
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam
- Fit test using an approved facility mask within 1 year of start, completed before arrival
- Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Rubeola immunity or 2 vaccines
- Mumps immunity or 2 vaccines
- Rubella immunity or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B immunity, vaccine series, or facility-specific declination
- Varicella immunity or 2 vaccines
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or accepted medical exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccination or accepted medical exemption

About
Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through. It's filled with cultural sites, including many museums and the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which offers stage performances and displays traditional crafts and replicas of dwellings from indigenous groups in the area.
