Description
Registered Nurse
Location: Moses Lake, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Nights
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Overview
This role is responsible for direct patient care and care coordination, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, delegation, and supervision of other caregivers. The nurse may also function as a charge nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse
Unit-Specific Requirements
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced required for all RNs working in the mother-baby unit prior to the end of orientation and renewed every 2 years
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years
- STABLE course completion within 6 months of completing orientation and renewed every 2 years is optional
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required for all labor and delivery RNs within 3 months of completing labor and delivery training and renewed every 2 years; Electronic Fetal Monitoring from NCC is also acceptable
- RN-C in specialty preferred
Work Expectations
- May be required to function as a charge nurse
- May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within any 13-week assignment
