Medical Surgical Float Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Anderson, South Carolina
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Must be willing to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated
  • RTO must be submitted with the application

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of float experience
  • Float experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • 2 clinical references
  • Resume/application
  • Photo for badge before start
  • Must complete required onboarding, orientation, and acknowledgements before starting
  • Must pass required background screening and health clearance requirements before start

Compliance Notes

  • Annual fit testing is required
  • Must comply with seasonal flu vaccination or exemption requirements
  • Must complete annual or required renewal updates for applicable screenings and documentation
