Emergency Center RN

Role Overview

• Emergency Center RN in Albany, Georgia
• 17-week contract
• 12-hour evening shifts
• Start ASAP

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS or ASLS
• TNCC
• 5+ years of experience
• At least 1 travel assignment
• Meditech experience
• Driver’s license address must be listed in the emailed submit to be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC preferred

Unit / Setting

• Emergency department with a 6-bed behavioral lock down area staffed by psych
• Approx. 180–200 visits per day
• Ratios: 1:4
• Peds to geriatrics
• Trauma, neuro trauma, ortho, and CVA patients
• No burns kept there
• Central monitoring techs
• Vents are held in the ER until admitted
• 24/7 respiratory therapist dedicated to the ER
• Pharmacy is in the department 11 hours per day and on campus 24/7

Schedule / Operations

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• ORT must be completed during week one unless approved by EC leadership before the start date
• Callout process should be reviewed with agency staff

• Caribbean Blue scrubs only
• Nurses do their own lab draws
• Nurses start their own IVs
• Charge nurse: yes
• Nurse aides/paramedics: yes, 5–6 per shift
• Security/patient sitters: yes, with safety sitters
• Auto lunch deductions
