RN - Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN position in Alexandria, Louisiana
- Full-time
- Night shift: 7PM - 7AM
- Start: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Temp to perm is a possibility
Unit / Patient Population
- Very high acuity unit
- Heavy volume of strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
- Some trauma cases may be seen, but this is not a trauma designated unit
- Security is onsite 24-7
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- De-escalation training
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
Orientation / Onboarding
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member
- Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is expected
