Murray, Utah
Schedule
- Day shift
- 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- On-call required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Utah
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- ARRT (R) or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- High school diploma or GED
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Role Summary
- Prepares patients for exam, verifies orders, and ensures proper patient identification
- Produces quality images and operates imaging equipment
- Completes required documentation, including time stamps and image storage
- Maintains work area and stocks supplies
- Transports patients as needed
- Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech
- Applies closure devices, sutures the sheath in place, or removes the sheath and applies pressure to obtain hemostasis at the end of procedures
- Provides patient education and comfort as needed
